<U.S. Is Completing Plan to Promote a Democratic Iraq.

“Those plans call for a heavy American military presence in the country for at least 18 months, military trials of only the most senior Iraqi leaders and quick takeover of the country's oil fields to pay for reconstruction.”

Now, in the first place, the US is busy “democraticizing Afghanistan. Remember. The US will not just remove the Taliban, the US will guarantee the rights of women and bring democracy. Ain’t happening, there, won't happen in Iraq, not as long as there is oil to be pumped.

Iraq is similar in its divisions to Afghanistan in that there are factions, as there were in the former Yugoslavia. As a condition of its assistance, Turkey has secured a guarantee there will NOT be a separate Kurdish state. So, keeping the Kurds under control will have to be part of that "democracy" the US will bring to the country.

Nope. One thing for sure, though. Iraq’s oil fields will pay Halliburton, et al., for “reconstruction”.

Can you imagine the balls of this plan – bomb them back to the Stone Age, then charge ‘em for “reconstruction”. How is this different from the Holocaust – destroy a people, take their assets, and charge ‘em for it?
