I probably should be deeply offended. I probably should see this as some racist attack against my family and my mother who learned English and learnt it so well she picked up the British accent of her teachers.

But I recognize an attempt at humor when I see it.

The Republican=Nazi fallacy is all the more evident to one who can hear firsthand tales of the behavior and mindset of the real Nazis. The truth be told, the Nazi attitude was ironically much closer in lockstep to democrats like FDR's ilk who felt they should be able to dictate laws and dispense justice as they see fit, with no dissent and no constitution to stand in their way.

Hitler, like FDR, believed that desperate times required absolute authority to call the shots. To make the nation's "problems" disappear.

Some may claim this is an unfair assessment, but once one knows more about FDR you realize he was a petty tyrant first class and that it is a perfect fit.
