<No argument that power corrupts... but, do you really believe that the majority of popular votes in the last presidential election came from people who wish ill to this nation and its citizens???

My phrasing was precise. I said "Democratic Party," by which I mean the politicians, the DNC, and their hangers-on. Not Americans who happen to vote Democrat.
