And your mischaracterization of what was in the article is interesting (They said "dip"; you said they said "slide". They pointed out in the headline that 58% approval is a high rating. etc.).

Even so, your characterization as "slide" is probably accurate when, according to the polls, approval went from 63% to 58% in one week. I'm a little skeptical about this slide and would expect the margins of error (in both this week's poll and last week's) are conspiring to show a bigger "slide" than was actually true.

Still the polling numbers are all we have to go on. It will be interesting to see if next week's numbers remain around 58%.
