Morality and Choice

>"I believe saddam should be taken out... I just hate the idea of a few hundred thousand Iraqui "soldiers" and a few hundred of our soldiers dying in the process..."

Let's re-examine this viewpoint.
You have been MADE to believe that Sadam Hussein is such a dangerous individual that YOU, and the lives of your loved ones AND all of America are at immense danger because of this ONE man. And you are, IN FACT, promoting the death of "thousands of Iraqi and Amercian soldiers" to take him out.
WHICH IS WORSE?
THe fear?
Or the actual dath toll?

>"If wo go to war again with Iraq there is no doubt that it will be a complete rout.."

Well, if we chose to see ourselves as the Orkin Man, then assassination would seem plausible.
I would be for assassination. But what right do WE have to take him out?
You see, like everything we experience here in our own lives on a daily basis, there is a purpose, there is a plan; and I believe that we are EVOLVING and that we must stop and figure out the best course before we DO anything.
Sadam is NOT attacking us. And with our military might, we could stomp ANYONE into smithereens within hours. THAT is card up our sleeve.
We don't have to resort to violence to get what we want.
Your thinking is skewed.

You probably wouldn't notice until war erupts everywhere and large nuclear countries step in to COUNTER us, and Bush gets back on his offensive high horse.
THEN, you might wonder where it all started.
Maybe.
By then, of course, it will be too late.
