I thought the pundits missed the importance of the hydrogen car proposal
They all seemed to think it was a carrot thrown to the Democrats for their support of the war.
But of course most of the hardcore left won't support war under ANY circumstances laid down by a Republican President.
The Hydrogen car proposal was really aimed at the Middle East: Bush was telling the oil sheiks "Shape up now or in 15 years you can drown yourselves in your worthless oil..."
Bush is an oilman, as so many of his opponents like to point out...He knows the economics of the business. As technology progresses, oil may very well go the way of whale blubber...
