Things to watch:
--The kneecapping of Estrada in the Senate by the Democratic Party, including a Democrat who supported Estrada while she was running for Senate then flipflopped after she won. It has as much as been said by some Democrats that a Hispanic who did not grow up in a barrio cannot be a "real" Hispanic. A lot of Hispanics are watching C-Span, and not liking what they see.
--The targeted destruction of Al Sharpton by the Democratic Party, which courted him in earlier elections when they needed his influence, but now sees him as a threat when he looks like he wants to join the upper crust of the Party. I imagine Democratic leaders have bitten their tongues almost in half trying to avoid the word "uppity."
Former Illinois Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, who apparently Knows Her Place, is being fielded by the Party to defuse the Sharpton campaign.
Does this mean I think the Democrats should support Sharpton as their candidate? Of course not. That would be stupid. But the hypocrisy of how the Party Of The Minorities treats him now versus how it treated him when he was willing to work on their plantation, is instructive on its own.
Minorities going to get a clue on the Democrats?
