At our local noontime peace demonstration in front of the Post Office, many are on their lunch hours, and skip that meal to join the small gathering opposing war.
Others, who may be out of work and who could spend the time looking for a job, eschew their personal needs for the greater calling of peace.
I'm happy that you're employed, Phil, and have a chance to spend time with your family on weekends, but I don't think I'm too far off in assuming that many who marched this weekend are neither without family, nor unemployed.
Many of who oppose war have chosen to sacrifice material comforts for the greater purpose of world peace.
Yes, it takes commitment and sacrifice to take to the streets, or the internet, to oppose the Chickenhawks and warmongers, and to defend the noble ideals of our great nation.
We who oppose this war are fortified with the courage of our convictions, and buoyed with the knowledge that our cause is just.
Peace,
