War on.........

>"In 1971 the Nixon administration declared a "war against drugs" and said illegal drugs would be stamped out in the US in ten years. "

Blah, blah, blah.....
Reagan, Bush, Bennet et al were all in collusion. Money for this, money for that. Stay connected.
Stay in power.
The "War on Drugs" is a dismal failure.
It was a red herring to prevent REAL inspection of the illegal drug and arms trade intenationale` that put major political players in power today.

Of COURSE they don't want you looking too closely!

>"This Republican administration funded the war with ten billion dollars."
Well, even if they WERE Republicans, it just sounds like "Republican bashing".
Now, now Publius.......don't go getting your panties in a wad.
There's more:

>"Thirty-two years later we have not won that war and the federal government is spending $20 billion a year in a losing effort. ........This keeps the price of drugs high and profits protected."

Well.....yeah.
They have been able to keep us off guard long enough to CREATE a "war on drugs", while they arm BOTH sides to the teeth, and then get them fighting each other. They buy the drugs, import thm through our military bases and sell guns to BOTH sides! (The cartels AND the para-military forces on boith sides). Shades of Iran Contra!
Instant capitol!
(Don't you just love capitalism??)

How about the other wars?
"War on terrorism?"
"War for oil?"

War. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, from our point of view. But for the elite it's another story. As Bracken, also an economist, points out:

"History shows that the costs for infrastructure and security to colonize a country can exceed the riches gained by the empire in raw materials. For example, costs associated with the September 11 attacks and the US response should be added to the defense budget because they were at many levels the consequences of US troops being stationed in Saudi Arabia and US military support for Israel. While the masses pay back war debts, the elite almost always profit from the extraordinary military consumption that feeds our rulers' greed and lust for dominion."

You're right Publius, Nero fiddles while Rome burns.
America will be brought to her knees by our current leaders.
Not to worry.

Just buy you duct tape and bullets and don't forget to vote in the next election.
