I'll apply Larry's logic here.
Live in Northern Ireland or Glasgow for a few years before your opinion is of equal weight to mine.
There is a lunatic fringe everywhere which will use religion as an excuse or motivation for messing up someone else's day.
Try walking to school wondering if you're going to be beat up for getting the answer wrong to "Protestant or Catholic".

And to answer your question (assuming I could find a pub in a Muslim country....) yes, Coz I've already done both (cafes in Tunisia, pubs in Eire).
I'd feel less safe in certain areas of South Philly, Bogota, Bangkok or Dead Tourist's Creek Inn, Indiana.
