Modifying source material
The comments about the anglicized spelling originally came from the Drudge Report. I did not see the footnote when I first read the article (I could easily have overlooked it but possibly the footnote was later added). Obviously it is improper to modify a source document. If one modifies the spelling then why not modify the grammar, or the word order? Someone at the Guardian was stupid either for rewriting an important document or accepting a forgery as real.
