When I first read the Guardian article, I thought to myself: "Monitoring diplomatic traffic is what the NSA does everyday. Why would someone leak a classified document and risk a jail term for something so mundane?" I then went to Drudge Report and saw this:
ALLEGED 'TOP SECRET' TEXT OF NSA EMAIL...
BUT WAIT: WOULD AMERICAN NSA EMPLOYEE SPELL FAVORABLE 'FAVOURABLE',
RECOGNIZE 'RECOGNISE' AND EMPHASIZE 'EMPHASISE' IN BRITISH TONGUE?...
WOULD NSA REALLY TIME STAMP EMAILS '31/01/2003 0:16' IN EUROPEAN FORMAT?...
NAME IN ALLEGED EMAIL IS 'KOZU' AND OBSERVER STORY CLAIMS TO HAVE CONTACTED
A 'KOZA'?...
Looks like some bozo journalist at the Guardian just bought himself a one way ticket to the dole queue. The associate editor who approved publication maybe standing in line behind him.
