Show me a free market democratic country where the people are eating grass. Show me a free market country anytime in history where the people EVER ate grass.

Hell, show me a right-wing dictatorship where the people ate grass or lived in the abject poverty of Cuba or North Korea. Even those ghastly kludges of authoritarian government with a reasonably free market (old Singapore, some Latin American nations, etc.) had a far better standard of living than the communist nations.
