The entire "only combat veterans have a right to talk about war" crap surfaced only after Clinton left office, along with a slew of non-military cabinet members. The term "chickenhawk" was not heard for eight years before that.

If it was required that one have experience with everything one decided policy about, then any politician who has never been a corporate CEO would have to shut up about how business is done in this country. In fact, politicians who know jack shit about economics or business see fit to micromanage our economy down to nearly the quantum level. So there it is, I guess.

A vast majority of people actually in the military right now apparently support Bush. And I guess they should know, right?
