The latest Ivory Coast french intervention was meant to secure or save the westerners, but the french troops were soon forced to take a position between the governmental forces and the rebels and nobody was satisfied; also, the power in place was undecided.
But it's up to the Ivory Coast authorities to decide what to do; non-interference is what matters.
