The phrase "War of Liberation" is being bounced around the media like a ball of flubber.

To hear it called that might make us feel better about the killing that's going on, which is soon to escalate, but it's BS.

The point of the War is to sweep Iraq clean of any CBN weapons they might have and to destroy any means to produce them.

It's an act of self-preservation- kill or be killed on a national scale.

The fact that the Iraqi's and the rest of the world will benefit from regime change is secondary.

Coming to the defense of a nation under attack is one thing, but "liberating" an indigenous population from it's own leadership is quite another.

Until Afghanistan, I can’t think of an instance of this happening before? I hope that Afghanistan and Iraq will utilize the freedom that has(will) be handed to them and it’s not going to be like the lottery winners that can’t handle their own windfalls and end up bankrupt.

For the meantime, why not call it what it is - A War of Disarmament.
