Sorry...you were the unfortunate victim of a built-up reaction to about five solid weeks of the Mercury News' editorial page on this subject and several others. Hey, I can't write letters to them EVERY day. Probably should have explained that up front.
And many anti-war people have said in so many words that things would be "different" if it was Clinton instead of Bush. I knew that, of course, but they've come right out and said it.
