You're right.
I tend to think of the born-again guy as "Christian", and am not particularly used to agreeing with the Roman Catholic Pope or thinking of him as "Christian". I think of him as Roman Catholic, though he IS Christian.
That's even though I was raised Roman Catholic (and Christian). Altar boy, and all that. (Was never molested, wonder what was wrong with me.)
This isn't a "Christian" thing, except for the True Believers.
It is a US-Great Britain-Australian thing, though.
