Apache "shootdown"
IMO, the Apache I saw (which the Iraqis claim was shot down by farmers), sitting intact in a field on its landing gear, wasn't shot down at all. I think it landed due to some technical problem, and apparently the crew was not aware that hostiles were as close as they were.
Our military thinks the crew took off, and is in hiding. Let's hope so. Obviously, if an extraction was going on, we wouldn't hear about it until it was successful.
