American Forces Network here in korea has been jumping around from Fox News to MSNBC to CNN American all the time. When this story broke, CNN Asia was all over it, in fact they were translating the Iraqi news reporter on the scene and showed the news conference (with media questions, albeit Al Jazera media).

The officials clamed several things:
1. there were two apaches shot down
2. they have the pilots and will show them when they 'feel' like it
3. the farmer in the forground holding the bolt action rifle was the guy who downed it (No SH*T!)

Of course every sinlge point was bovine excrement, but it was fun to watch. It took over an hour for CNN America to pick up on the story. And they tried to take it scratch from Al Jazera, aparently the different CNN regional centers just need to monitor each other.

This isn't the only time. In general the news quality on domestic CNN is watered down and incomplete, while CNN Asian gives much more.
