<What would have been wrong with the US saying (or whispering) to the UN inspectors, "go to 33 deg 41 min 12 sec N, 43 deg 15 min 09 sec E tomorrow, look in the white two story building".
Sometimes merely stating what we know, reveales how we know it.
Of course this debate is moot now.
