Christians believe that if they die in a state of grace they, too, will head straight off to heaven and be in the presence of Jesus. And if they die protecting the faith they will be in a perpetual state of grace. Call those folks "martyrs", like the missionaries who are killed in the line of duty. Or even while vacationing.

But those same Christians sneer at Muslims who have the SAME belief. Or reasonably close, the only difference being the accoutrements of "heaven".

(We won't go into whether Jesus was a virgin, the role of Mary Magdalene in His life, that sort of thing. Or that the Gnostic Gospels have one Apostle asking Jesus why he is shoving his tongue down her throat. True, I'm NOT making that up.)

Go figure. Why would people sneer at a belief others hold when they have the same beliefs themselves?
