Please tell me you aren't among these teacher and parent abused puppets...er I mean worldly well-informed protesters:
Let me guess...born during the Carter administration? Was it an even or odd day?
;-)
When the British booted the Argentinians out of the Falkland Islands in 1982 you were probably about 3 years old? This war lasted 72 days, claimed and 236 British and 655 Argentinians died. That's 2-1/2 months.
When you were 12, the Gulf War and Desert Storm was the "big one" and lasted a whopping 43 days!
The "old style" Vietnam protesters didn't start to protest until the war had been going on for YEARS. In 1962 when we first committed "advisors" to Vietnam there wasn't a protester in sight. The first major protests started kicking in around late '66
Now, if we even threaten to go to war we get a bunch of pierced lip and nose onanists dancing in the streets splashing themselves with red food coloring and paint, blocking traffic and proclaiming their solidarity with dictators and marxists around the world.
Civil War lasted 4 years
(620,000 US casualties)
WWI lasted 4 years (2 years for US)
(136,516 US casualties)
WWII lasted 7 years (4 years for US)
(52 MILLION casualties)
(410,000 US casualties)
Korean Conflict last 3 years
(55,000 US casualties)
Vietnam lasted 12 years.
(58,000 US casualties)
This war has gone on a WEEK and you're ready to pull out while we're winning decisively and doing so with what amounts to the least amount of casualties in the history of warfare in the history of the world.
What's wrong with this picture?
I'll tell you what's wrong - you're the victim of the media-spin that says if we have suffered ANY casualties we must be losing and that Saddam really is loved by his people after all they fight for him while their loved ones safely are protected by Saddam's militias in their towns and villages.
Right?
