If your arguments are sound why are we suddenly sending in 120,000 more troops? You can't ignore the reality that we entered this war based on a lot of assumptions Bush and Rumsfeld made which are not panning out. They chose to reject the Powell overwhelming force doctrine UNTIL NOW. Bush wanted this war so bad he started it without getting enough force in place to assure rapid victory. We're now looking at a war of attrition for at least weeks if not months until the additional forces are in place. How many of our troops will die in this extended conflict because of Bush's ill-advised decision?

Yeah the Turks are to blame for mucking up the battle plan but Bush started this war knowing that was off the table.
