It looks as if the conservatives are saying the US is forgoing the use of land mines.

Is that true?

The same country which has threatened Iraq with nukes? Isn't using land mines?

The people who have conducted unprovoked aggression against a small country half the world away will give up land mines?

One of the only countries to NOT sign an agreement to not use them because it wants to use them has done an about-face, and ISN'T going to use land mines?

Those people?

Is that what conservatives are saying?

What would be the reason? Because they are hard on people? Is that what would bother those conservatives, Bunky? Because they might kill and maim a few?

Or is it the morality of them? Is that what's "on the heart" of those conservatives?

Inquiring minds want to know.
