"Only a very naive person would not see that no matter how hard we try to win hearts and minds, we are going to come out of this on the shitlist of a lot of Arabs. But minimizing this number is important."
How can a conservative promote illegal aggression by the mightiest military power against a backward third-world country, AND FEEL SORRY FOR NOT BEING APPRECIATED?
No matter what the US does it is seen by the ROW as an aggressor, greedily grabbing oil, causing unnecessary death, destruction and maiming.
It's not as if there wasn't a viable option for disarming Iraq.
By the way, while I'm not saying Iraq doesn't have WMD, where are they? I'm not saying they won't use them, but why haven't they?
And don't say they are deterred. Because the conservative premise is that deterrence wouldn't work.
And it's too bad conservatives and GWB aren't loved by the rest of the world simply because they are aggressive, killing. We should overlook that, I suppose.
