The US Air Force ran out of bombs in the late '90s over the former Yugoslavia.
Just plain ran out. Actually, not completely out - they flew them in from Korea, Japan, etc.
But didn't have the ones they wanted the most.
I'm sure Bush has stockpiled 'em, but even so - - - .
Sand is hard on jet engines, turbines and piston engines. From TV one can surmise sand is everywhere.
Sand is also hard on barrels. Very hard.
Every damned engine and barrel will need replacement by the time they're done. Well, even before they're done.
And the "plan", which they're "on", well, I'm sure it allows for that.
