Something in that article, that I noticed you didn't mention in your post, was the fact that Pakistan says the sanctions were imposed because of resources they received from a restricted country. Not resources they were sharing.
A contridiction to the original statement which, I think, clearly indicates this situation is far too premature to be making any solid accusations.
To say that this is simply another "crusade," especially one rooted in economic gain, is to completely ignore the facts, presented by far more sources than just the U.S. government.
Is Osama hiding in Pakistan? I would say the term "possibly" is much more applicable than "probably." Let's not forget Pakistan's cooperation in the capture of a number of al-Qaeda members. Not the least of which include the murderers of Daniel Pearl, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. The latter of which has been the biggest break in the war on terrorism since the 9/11 attacks.
Is Pakistan a great country? Well I, most definitely, won't be making any trips there in the near future. However, there is no reasonable way of drawing comparisons between Pakistan and Iraq.
Sometimes you have to deal with people who are, shall we say, a little less than scrupulous, when the need arises to fight a greater evil.
