Some thoughts about perspective on this war

In GW I, we bombed Iraq for six weeks before invading.
We destroyed and killed many times the civilians we are killing now.
We disrupted Iraqi infrastructure much more than now.
We now control nearly every part of the country, and the anecdotal evidence that as Iraqis see we really are shutting the baathis party down they are pretty happy to see us, is becoming overwhelming.
We seem to have applied a strategy more subtle than many have considered possible: To neutralize huge amounts of Iraqi territory at very low casualty rates.
And to do this in plain view under the scrutiny of thousands of journalists, even some from adversarial countries.
While this is far from over, it is certainly not the disaster or slaughter predicted by the saddam enablers.
