She was in a unit intended to deliver supplies, not fight on the front lines.
But as with ALL soldiers, down to the guy who peels potatoes, when the war comes to them they know what to do, and as far as I am aware every person in that convoy distinguished themselves.
She was not supposed to be in combat, and damn straight she's a hero.
It irks the hell out of me that this punk "last-minute objector" is even mentioned on the same news coverage that she is.
