Read Matt's Article About How Sorry UN is In Kosovo
I wasn't inclined to have the UN involved after how bad they mucked up the inspections process, but I sure don'y want the UN to make the US look bad by totally screwing up the reconstruction like they have in Kosovo. I had thought they would be more competant at rebuilding than preventing a war but it doesn't look like it. Our main chance at redemption in Arab eyes comes from rebuilding Iraq like we promised to show this was truly an anti-Saddam not an anti-muslim war. If we turn it over to incompetants we will be held accountable.
