Shamed to admit

but I don't have much time to follow Scottish/British news other than to see how Rangers are doing (pretty good) or the 6 nations rugby (pretty bad for Scotland).

Occasionally I get twinges of nostalgia and peruse the Guardian or the Scotsman sites, but my heart is really not in it.
I no longer know who the politicians are, what the latest trends are, the burning issues of the day (though I could take a rough stab at that right now ;-) )

I have discovered though that most of my favorite Radio 4 shows are now on the web. The News Quiz, I'm sorry I havent a clue or Just a minute are great examples of just how different the US and UK sense of humour is.

I somehow think I'm here to stay....
In years to come I'll know nothing about modern day Scotland, but will insist on turning up at any and all occasions in my kilt and tell the young uns how braw it was tae roam the hills and glens when I was just a wee laddie (sounds better than crossing the road to get some sweets).
(This thread sent me to scotchcorner.com where I found that I did indeed have a tartan and didn't have to pretend to be a Macpherson anymore...... )

Bagpipes playing Flower of Scotland, Amazing Grace or Last Post still make me blub like a bairn.

Cheerrrrrrrrrs,
Tony
