My Hope For The Next Election
Catch-22: There are damn few people who would make a great President who want the job. The best people are those who don't think it's their job to run other people's lives for them.
I still think we would do almost as well politically if our leaders were drafted.
For any given election, four to six people get picked from a qualified pool (like jury duty.) No political parties. Voters pick from those results. If for some reason, all of them suck (none of them gets enough votes), you go back and pick another six. And, oh yeah...you don't get to run again.
