Both Faced Strong Opposition
Bush's numbers hovered near 50 % before the war with most pundits figuring a drop was likely with even small errors. Blair faced much stronger opposition and took a bigger gamble, but both deserve credit for political courage. In terms of amount of opposition within his own party Blair was definitely braver.
