Self protection is a good motive that can be made to look bad, but liberation isn't so the anti-war crowd has been trying to downplay this issue from the getgo.

Kuwait appreciated it
Afghanistan appreciated it
Iraq appreciates it

Get over it folks. Liberation isn't just for minorities and women, its for foreign countries too and US military might can make it happen when the locals can't.
