You approach this point as if it is aimed only at you and ignore the many anti-war posters who claimed we were not liberating Iraq and frankly your comments denying it is a basis for the war definitely come across as trying to downplay this angle.
Regardless of the reasons for the wars sited all three groups appreciated it. The point is that people really do appreciate being liberated. It really is a good cause. It's not some offhand glib use of tongue as so many here seem to imply. The US soldiers and the US public for the most part feel it in their guts and are damn proud of it. I am too and no amount of word play or focusing on the downside is going to change that in the face of a far greater good.
