Although it's interesting that the premise brought to the table is always that the U.S. is the one that is responsible for the rift in Europe, and should come crawling back. It might be worth considering that it should be the other way around.

I am hoping that the demonstration that we will actually follow through with our policies, even including military action, will make such military action much less needed in future diplomatic efforts.
