I think we will let peace have a chance. We will at the moment mostly ignore Syria past aggressive actions against the US. I think we have to give a little slack to Syria since it was strongly influenced by Saddam's evil regime. Hopeful will some US encouragement, Syria will move to a more constructive relationship with countries in the region and the rest of the world.
