"It may never occur.
the discovery of the trail is likely, but no time soon. It is supposed by the admin that the WMD paraphernalia was secreted out of country overland to Syria in the day preceding the U.S. assault. It is also very possible that negotiations were on-going between Iraq and Syria for months, possibly as far back as mid-2002 and the declaration of the Axis of Evil. If so, WMD was shipped out early this year and well is now hidden in the neighbor land."
I doubt that they will be never found. These WMD which Iraq had will be found. The idea of some other country acquiring them is not logical (these things should be viewed as plague upon a country- unless what you want is the US (and coalition) in your face. The intelligence connected to them might have some value to other countries, but not the actual material.
Syria can currently legally possess WMD- but dragging in Iraqi's MWD has possiblity of changing this status. Giving the US a legal reason to invade Syria is not a good idea- it's bad enough that Syria was an Ally to Iraq- opposed to being neutral like Iran was. One thing that countries should learn about the Iraq invasion- don't the US a legal reason to invade your country- esp if the US perceives you as a country actively working against it's interests. Now, if individuals (or terror groups) have these WMD, I wouldn't suggest that they keep these things- used them now, or sell them quick- again unless you desire the US target you or your group. Of course if some group actually uses chemical or bio weapons, then this will place that group at the top priority to terminate.
But, of course there is no shortage of stupid people in this world, but we will find these WMD- one way or another.
Now, there is that slight possiblity that all the Iraq's WMD have been found, and the larger quantities were only on paper- but we still should be able to find the paper trail or at least find out more detail by what people say- if this is the case than that means this will take much longer to resolve- it's harder to prove the negative.
