Although I haven't read this thread, I've noticed Don IS concerned that no real WMD will be found, despite what the hawks are pushing. He has a valid concern that our war wasn't justified.

Did anyone here catch "60 Minutes" last night?
It was a report on Afganistan, 18 months after our bombing. The results are weak, and somewhat disturbing. The airport at Kabul is demolished, with large bombed out planes sitting there, where before a fleet of several hundred planes encouraged commerce there.
The Red Cross has stopped sending in their workers for relief because they are being killed.
They are BEGGING the US to step in and HELP, but NOOOOOO.......we'll have no part in rebuilding because investors are backing off because of the danger.
Oh, and our pick for the new leader of Afganistan, Karsai.......well, he's been replaced by the leader of the Northern Alliance (Hakeem, or something like that). No time to get his real name, but this guy is SLIMEY and dangerous, his countenance makes my skin crawl. And he has the power now, he and his troops and all their weapons.
P.S. He doesn't think much of Americans either.
When Karsai left the country briefly on a mission to Pakistan for talks, Hakeem just walked right into Karsai's office and took over. No one dares to remove him, except of course to bomb him out. Give us another a few years and we'll be doing that.
It just amazes me that you self-righteous conservatives think that might makes right, and by us using a show of power, that we will be allright.
In actuality, we are destabilizing the region and making more enemies.

It is OUR responsibility to protect OUR BORDERS and work with other countries and weapons inspectors to keep the spirit of compliance allive.
Bush broke all the treaties and likes to stomp out all agression, leaving no room to delegate, compromise or work on other solutions.
This lawless attitude will backfire with many more lawless aggressors against him.
