Maybe I'm dating myself once again. It used to be that Army Special Forces wore green berets, the 82nd Airborne wore red berets, the 101st wore blue berets, and the Rangers wore black berets. I know the Army went to black berets for everyone and the Rangers changed to a different color a year or so ago.

There was an old joke at Fort Bragg about when the 82nd went to the red berets. An elderly lady approached a Green Beret and said, "Young man, I know what your green beret stands for. What does the red beret mean?"

The Green Beret looked around and whispered, "Well, ma'am, those men all have syphillis."
