The collected Arab nations of the Mideast could probably put every Palestinian child in the entire area through college and never miss the cash. The $1 billion that Saddam ran off with could put about 7,000 kids through a four-year Harvard education.

That is, if the concern of the Arab world was actually with the well-being of the Palestinians. It's worth noting that Europe and the rest of the world give the Palestinians far more aid than Arab countries do.

These people are poor, angry, and desperate precisely because the rest of the Arabs want them exactly like that. Good cannon fodder to throw at Israel. If you live in Saudi Arabia you can read about the suicide bombings in the paper while laying back in comfort in your air-conditioned limo. Take that, Israel.
