Okay, lets think this through as two rational beings...

RobVG:
"Cristopher Boyce, the former soviet spy/coke head, was a military intelligence analyst."

And your point? That all military Intelligence analysts are worthless sources? What does this say about military intel? What about the analysts who affirmed data used to support this war?

"Don't you think that if this camp was built with the assistance and/or direction from MI6 for the purposes of counter-terroism - it wouldn't be an issue?"

Yes, I do think that if the camp was built
1)with the aid of MI6 and CIA
2) during the time Iraq was our ally
3) For the express purpose of counter terrorism
4) We have records of 1-3 sufficient for members within current intelligence to quote them

Then HELL NO, it shouldn't be an issue.

RobVG:
"Unless you're serious about it and are state funded."

An important quote you missed from the previous source:

"“That’s Hollywood rinky-dink stuff,” the former agent said. “They train in basements. You don’t need a real airplane to practice hijacking. The 9/11 terrorists went to gyms. But to take one back you have to practice on the real thing.”"

Its true. If you need to practice storming a grounded airplane with hijackers on board, you need, well, a grounded airplane. To practice hijacking, you just need to practice beating the shit out of a bunch of unarmed folks...

So we have two possibly hypothesies about this camp.
HypA) SP is a camp created and used for counter terrorist operations and is NOT being used for terrorist activites.
HypB) SP is a camp created and used for terrorist operations.

HypA Is
1) consistent with known documented data.
2) Is confirmed by parties within our own government.
3) Consistent with expert opinion for what you need to train for counter-hijacking

HypB Is
1) INCONSISTENT with our own records
2) Only supported by the testimony of two sources that MAY have motive to lie
3) Easily explained away by evidence supporting HypA.

In the absence of confirmation, HypB MIGHT have been true, but the BULK of evidence suggests HypA is true.

And wouldn't you know it, now we have boots on the ground there and NO evidence of it being a terrorist training ground.

So I have two questions for you.

1) Was HypB (that SP was a terrorist training camp) SUPPORTED enough at ANY time for people who claim to be rational to endorse a war that killed thousands? Or was it used as a distraction before the public?

2) Don't you think we should have been having this conversation BEFORE WE KILLED SEVERAL THOUSAND IRAQIS?

RobVG:
"Simple Davin, it's not time yet."

Then WHEN is it time to act on reason and not on faith? The time PASSED months ago, when we could have averted this war and saved the reputation of America from its worst black mark. Ever.

You were lied to.

Davin
