Steve and Opus...



...are sitting in in a bar. Steve hangs his head while holding a martini glass. An open milk carton with a straw sticking out the tops rest in front of Opus.

"So that's it," Steve says. "I quit smoking...or I kick off in six months."

Opus turns to Steve and asks in amazement, "Ya means cigarettes...are unhealthy?"

Steve looks at Opus, his cigarette hanging out of his mouth. "Look...I know what I used to tell you..."

"But...but..." Opus stammers, a very worried look on his face, "the tests...they...they said smoking is fine...cures acne...helps canker sores...they...THEY..."

Steve turns and grabs Opus by the shoulders and shakes him. "OPUS!!"

"What?"

"Ol' buddy...there's a chance the American Tobacco Institute's health research is...well...biased."

Opus looks shocked as he moves his hand to his chest, like he can't believe what he has heard.

"Good Lord," he mumbles, in amazement.
