Drivel. Al Qaeda lost more than half its members, plus its home base in Afghanistan.

This idiot says that it does not matter. If we had left Al Qaeda alone, like Clinton did, and like Al Gore would have (since he admitted that he could not order the military to do things that might get some of them killed), it would be ten times as dangerous as it is now. It is down, but not yet out.

I remember how, in 1991, "The International Institute for Strategic Studies" predicted disaster for the US in the war against Iraq. They predicted similar terrible things in 2003. Phooey.

Here is another point of view on the same subject:

Al-Qaida now a regional danger only

Speaking at a global tourism conference, James Rubin, former White House spokesman, said that Al-Qaida has been significantly degraded since the events of September 11th, Israel Radio reports. The terrorist organization's reach has been reduced from a worldwide to a regional level.
