I have for the most part avoided the ongoing threads on this subject for the same reasons.
Of course we would all be incensed at a plot to deceive the public but at the same time it is not difficult to see that the individuals that go on and on about this appear to have a political agenda.
It reminds me of my own position on Capital Punishment. While I oppose CP on principle, I don't waste any tears on the guilty victims and agonize over the evidence that convicted them when it turns out that they committed the crime with a knife instead of a gun. It is appropriate to ask questions and conduct some investigation but harping on the subject in the absence of any damning evidence is transparently political.
I realize that my example on CP can be easily spun but the point is, at this stage of the game the issue sounds more like a talking point than a real issue.

A good and reasonable position
The whole thread (20 posts)
- Big Lie; Big Excuse; Big Deal (more of a blog than a flame)
- "If We Knew Where It Was -- Why Don't We Know Where It Is?"
- Why is this in 'Flame'?
- Probably one of the most reasonable takes on it I've seen all week.
- For me, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
- A good and reasonable position
- What most people are failing to remember...
