Sounds like fun
I've seen the RAF gyros before. They look like a lot of fun, if a bit on the slow side. Things are pretty far apart here in Colorado, so even a short trip (say 100 miles) can end up taking a while. Their short takeoff and landing capabilities are impressive and their visibility from the cockpit is second only to a full helicopter.
Just be careful about buzzing around close to the ground or a river. Back in 1975, I saw two men get pulled from a river in Alabama. The were supposedly on a search and rescue mission when they descended close to the water. They hit a cable, crashed, and died. Cables and other obstacles (like power lines) can be hard to see, especially near sunrise or sundown.
