re: Weapons

" think you already dismissed the Chirac quote. Apparently his belief that Iraq had WMD is not conclusive enough for you."

I 'dismissed' it with good reason! It was a neither clear nor decisive statement that Iraq had WMD.

What the intel branches were telling Clinton in 98, 5 years ago, is one thing... What we killed 10-15,000 people over in 2003 IS quite another. Shit happens, things change we all know this.

And lets stipulate that we could have been mistaken in 1998 AND mistaken in 2003.

I still don't see how this "They did it too!" with history or others tac means anything about anything- at all. It seems to be the last little lose rhetorical straws to grasp at. This is so un-interesting to me and so meaningless to my stance it is hard to even scrape together the energy to debate about it.

And not just to me. It just doesn't matter: we didn't go to war in 98- we went to war in 2003. The french, germans etc did not pull the trigger on the dead- we did. Our responsibility, or buck stopping on our desk.

And besides, your argument has been theat the French, germans russians were incompetent weasels, so how does it matter what they said?

We were wrong that WMD existed- the claims that there were sure terrorist connections were neither sure nor connections.

There have been a sequence of massive screw ups that should not have been, or were avoidable with due dilligence and source vetting, all serving specific and stated aims of the current administration. I am startled that you are not upset about the slip ups, concerned that you don't question the moral implications, and amazed that you do not expect an accounting from the current administration. I know you to be mostly rational, so I must either conclude that you are ignoring events that conflict with your political beliefs or are acting upon total faith that WMD and terrorist connections will come to light.

Seems to me, that unless there is a sexual organ involved, it just doesn't matter to you. 1 phallus trumps 10-15,000 corpses? 10-15,000 shattered families? A Semen stain is more profound than a blood stain?

Or, do you now want to jump ship and retroactively revise the cause for this war and your endorsement of it off of a 'globocop' foundation. If you do, I'll debate you. Its a good topic with unclear answers that I would love to clarify. But lets be honest. We didn't tdo this as globocop. We did this because we just 'knew' Iraq was gonna come and get us or our allies...

Wiggle wiggle little star....
