Current Events » in reply to Iraq's 1st Public Poll Backs U.S.

I wondered how long it would take to get around to that.

Most of the anti-American mood described in the media in Iraq has been anecdotal, using demonstrations* as illustration, interviews with selected "men on the street," and selected photographs.

The fact that nobody was actually conducting a poll for all this time indicated to me they really didn't want to hear the answers.

It's the same way that a dead silence on a subject in the mainstream media indicates something is going in a direction the Left doesn't like.

Only 17 percent want Americans out now. Tell me, is that the impression the media has been giving us? What number would YOU have guessed, based on what the media has been saying?

*According to polls, the war in Iraq enjoyed a healthy majority approval by Americans during the war, while the press did its damnedest to convince everyone that the people marching down the street with signs represented the Voice of America.
