I agree....well with most of it.
Not the part about me though. =) Slavery was a tragedy on a massive scale for this country, and you are right, it is still impacting us today. I am in no way condoning or indorsing it. Slave labor is the most inefficient, unproductive form of labor you can think of. Had it never existed this country would be far better off in every way, although none of the people alive now would be around to enjoy it.
